Retirement Ceremony and Swearing In

After more than three decades of dedicated service, Lieutenant John Duffy is retiring from the fire service, concluding an exceptional career that spanned from August 1995 through June 2026.

For nearly 31 years, John answered the call whenever his community needed him most. Throughout his career, he demonstrated unwavering commitment, courage, professionalism, and compassion, earning the respect of fellow firefighters, colleagues, and the countless residents he served.

Whether responding to emergencies, mentoring younger firefighters, or supporting community outreach efforts, John consistently exemplified the highest standards of public service. His dedication helped make the community safer and stronger, leaving a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come.

As John begins this well-deserved retirement, we extend our deepest gratitude for his years of sacrifice, leadership, and service. We congratulate him on an outstanding career and wish him and his family health, happiness, and many new adventures in the years ahead.

Following the retirement ceremony, Kyle Brooks was officially sworn in as Deputy Fire Marshal. The appointment marks an important transition for the District as it continues its mission of protecting and serving the community. Kyle’s dedication and experience position him well for this leadership role, and the District looks forward to his continued service in this new capacity.
