Training Tower

East Manatee Fire Rescue had a vision of having a training or drill tower as a resource for our Firefighters to learn new skills and continue their proficiency with the old ones. Then in 2017 this dream became a reality. The new 4183 square foot, 4 story building is rated to wind guests up to 150 mph and is made of concrete block. This training tower affords us unlimited training options for our firefighters to conduct diverse training evolution’s including fire suppression, search and rescue, hazardous materials, and technical rescue. It is also utilized for physical fitness training and test as well as for the physical agility portion of our firefighter hiring process. It has also been utilized by other agencies such as law enforcement, EMS, and other training academies and organizations.

On January 27, 2018 the training tower was dedicated to Commissioner Glenn “Big’n” Davis.
